Sunnyvale, CA., October 3, 2003-
Solarius Development, Inc. has introduced a new, low-cost, non-contact surface metrology tool. The Viking is a scanning topography measurement instrument designed to conform to a wide variety of applications. The system is specialized in non-contact measurement and can be equipped with two different types of optical gauges including, a laser triangulation gauge and a confocal single point sensor. Using laser based technology a 3D surface image is created, then the surface can be analyzed in terms of roughness and geometrical features like radius, height, lateral distance, angles and slopes. An intuitive user-friendly software that requires minimal training, is ideal for multi-operator environments.
