Engineering Surfaces: Non contact measurement
of form and roughness

The task
Knowing about the topography of engineering surfaces is an important factor for development and production of detailed machined parts. A major requirement is
fast and simultaneous measurement of form and roughness.

The solution
With the LaserScan and the Sensofar, fast optical measurement of form and roughness with high accuracy is now possible. The AutoScan even allows the automation of measurement procedures by means of Active X modules. This enables the system to be used close to the production process adjacent to manufacturing machines. For applications with mid range accuracy needs we recommend the Viking profiler.
